Nonna’s lasagna… enough said. But seriously
no feast will ever match this beast. Everybody claims that his or her grandma
of European ethnicity cooks the best food, however, I can calmly claim that
mine definitely cooks the best Italian cuisine. The multi-layered meat and
pasta mix topped with mozzarella cheese just melts in your mouth with every
bite. With a serving large enough to feed an army you’ll still want to go back
for more.
The mix of flavours from the next course is
always the greatest though, the desserts; tiramisu and gelato. Possibly the
best combination after a hearty meal. If you can survive the layers of savoiardi
with the multiple flavours of gelato then you can wash it all down with a fresh
short black coffee and feel your stomach expand exponentially.
All in all, it’s always a great day when
you sit down for a feast at nonna’s.
